Checkered Floor

We just finished our weekend project. Which, this time, didn't involve working on the cars, but on the home carage. I've always wanted to have a black and white checkered carage floor and after I'd finished the C3-R I decided to make it happen. I sanded the concrete floor then painted to layers of white. After the white paint was dry I started adding the masking tape, this took half a day. But once it was done it was easier to apply the black squares. Take a look at the project pics here!

Decorations

Old Corvette parts make a great decorations in the carage. I have used left over stuff to hang on the wall. Old posters and Corvette paintings take a chunk of wall space too. I'm also collecting vintage signs and memorobilia from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Check out some of the stuff I have on display in the carage here!

Tools

No way I would start another project without having a proper set of tools handy! When I started taking the C3-R apart I soon came to realise that with the mis-matched set of no-good tools I was only going to get lots of bruises and a huge head ache. I've been collecting quality tools ever since. I've used the quality stuff from Craftsman, hard to beat their lifetime warranty. Learn more about the tools I'm using here!
