Originally equipped with the more powerful L82 engine and Turbo400 automatic transmission it provided us with a good starting point to work on.
The beefier 010 engine block, the heads and the distributor are all still numbers matching stuff.
Some "hot Rodder" along the way had swapped the original 4 barrel carb and intake manifold to a Station Wagons 2-barrel units, can you imagine the effect this had? 2-barrel carb on a heavy sports car, nice touch.

We just had the heads cleaned up a little, new cam, intake and carb. sure runs much nicer now and looks way better than the old rusty motor.
The new cam and intake are Edelbrock Performer stuff, nothing brutal. The passenger side exhaust manifold had a nasty crack on it and I had to get it welded before I was able to put it back on.
I also installed all new plugs, filter, fluids, gaskets and new fuel pump. New carburator is 600cfm Carter.
